Chidley Fund Academy Scholarships

This scholarship fund develops leadership in the field of professional learning by providing two scholarships annually for recipients to participate in Learning Forward's Academy. The scholarship provides each recipient $3,650 to support participation in the Academy. Both scholarships are for educators working with large populations of underserved students. One scholarship is for a school-based teacher leader/coach who aspires to a role of leadership in the arena of professional learning. The second scholarship is for a district leader responsible for professional learning at the system level. Apply to join the Academy Class of 2016!

Patsy Hochman Academy Scholarship

This scholarship fund develops leadership in the field of professional learning by providing a scholarship annually for a recipient to participate in Learning Forward's Academy. The scholarship provides a recipient $3,650 to support participation in the Academy. The scholarship will support an educator who is a school-based teacher leader/coach who aspires to a role of leadership in the area of professional learning and works with a population of underserved students. Preference will be given to qualified applicants from Texas. Apply to join the Academy Class of 2016!

The Principal as a Leader of Professional Learning Scholarship
Deadline: April 15, 2014
The Principal as a Leader of Professional Learning Scholarship was created to honor the memory of Don Richardson and support the accelerating growth of a principal as he or she focuses on the Leadership standard in the Standards for Professional Learning. Through the support of the foundation, this scholarship supports the principal through Learning Forward Annual Conference participation and individualized executive coaching as he or she converts good performance in his or her school to a new level of superiority of academic learning of staff and students.

Learning Forward Team Grant

This grant supports teams (grade level, school, and district teams) in an effort to advance Learning Forward’s vision: Every educator engages in effective professional learning every day so every student achieves. The grant amount is up to $10,000 to support achievement of a challenging goal aligned with the above purpose and may include registration fees for the Learning Forward Annual conference for team members.

Leading for Learning: Sybil Yastrow Superintendent's Grant
This grant will be available again in 2015.
This three-year, $40,000 district/foundation partnership grant for superintendents was established in honor Sybil Yastrow. The superintendent who is awarded this grant will, in collaboration with a district leadership team, lead his or her district to develop a culture of high-performing professional learning communities to achieve Learning Forward's purpose.
