Former Co-President
As a teacher of reading for more than twenty-five years, I am currently the Director of Educational Leadership at the Chester County Intermediate Unit. I lead the team responsible for curriculum, instruction, assessment, school improvement, and professional learning. My expertise is grounded in real-world experience.
I have taught elementary and secondary students and has served in various leadership roles. I have been in education teaching, empowering and advocating for students for three decades. During that time, I have been a leader in designing and facilitating cutting-edge learning experiences for school and district administrators on topics such as literacy, social-emotional learning, school climate, leadership, and professional learning communities
The person who has had the largest influence on my professional learning journey is Barbara Wilson. Through her instruction and the professional learning opportunities provided by her, I have developed a rich understanding of literacy and the importance of coaching with ongoing feedback for teachers.
