Past Co-President / Treasurer
I currently serve as Principal of Emmaus High School in the East Penn School District. I also have the privilege of serving as an Adjunct Instructor and Dissertation Advisor in the Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership at Gwynedd Mercy University. Other administrative roles in which I have previously served are Assistant Principal, Director of Curriculum, and Assistant Superintendent.
Before moving into administration, I was a National Board Certified teacher of English/Language Arts/Communications at the high school level. Over the course of my career, I am thankful to have been given the opportunity to work in urban, suburban and rural settings, as well as in both small and large school districts. In 2012, I completed my doctorate in Education Leadership, Management and Policy at Seton Hall University.
I am passionate about high-quality professional development and enjoy learning with colleagues. As a member of the LFPA Board, I am excited to have the opportunity to get to know other colleagues in the Commonwealth and support their continuous professional growth.
The person who influenced me most with regard to professional learning is Dr. Grant Wiggins of “Understanding by Design” fame. I had frequent opportunities during my career to work with and learn from Dr. Wiggins, and have been affected by his passionate commitment to intentional, focused instructional design and the power of effective feedback for learners of all ages.
